The DRIIVE is a hard-hitting ‘Alt-Pop’ band from the Midlands UK, who exploded onto the scene in July 2019, with their raw talent to take you on an endless whirlwind of emotion via their infectiously catchy and ‘from the heart’ music. Their music demonstrates a plethora of genre-blending sounds taking inspiration from a wide variety of artists including; The Script, Pale Waves & The Band Camino.
The DRIIVE’s first live outing was as main support to Danny Jones (Mcfly) on their UK tour in 2019 playing shows to 1500 – 3000 people a night at prestigious venues such as 02 Shepherds Bush Empire, Manchester 02 Ritz, 02 Institute Birmingham and many more.
With their debut release ‘My Love’ achieving well over 100,000 streams in one month of it’s release and receiving multiple shoutout’s on Instagram from the likes of Scott Thomas, Nathan (Geordie Shore), Jordan Davies (Ibiza Weekender) and many more, it was evident that The DRIIVE was destined for an incredibly exciting journey.
To date, The DRIIVE have generated well over 4 million streams, received editorial and major label playlist support from Spotify and Warner Music Group (Chilled Pop Hits, Peach, New Music Friday, Trending Tunes, Viral 50 & Topsify) and have grown their followership to in excess of 16,000 people on just Spotify alone.
The bands single 'Memory Of You' exploded amongst the Taiwanese audience resulting on the track hitting not only an Spotify Editorial playlist 'Tending Tunes' but entering the official Viral 50 charts in Taiwan, peaking at position number 15.
Their most recent single 'Nightmare' written about the 'shackles of mental health' made BBC Introducing track of the week and followed a 15 minute interview discussing topics such as mental health, music and more.
With all eight of their current releases being supported and aired by the BBC Introducing team, with three being championed as ‘track of the week’ by Dean Jackson, there is huge anticipation for their upcoming release ‘Past Tense’ which drops on October 14th 2022, Globally.
Later this year, The DRIIVE head out on the road for multiple performances throughout October, November and December, after the completion of a very successful summer festival run.
